There are many talented, custom luthiers out there who have the ability to make almost any kind of instrument. Matt Artinger is one of them. He can make traditional solidbody guitars, but his specialty seems to be archtops with unique designs, f-holes, and aesthetics. He especially excels in how the guitar looks — using exotic woods, bindings, inlays, and other fluorishes which really accentuate the uniqueness of his instruments.
Shown here is #315. Note the unique side soundhole which can be capped, the beautiful quilted maple top, and the archtop-like tailpiece. It’s an archtop-hybrid-PRS-like guitar. I am sure the owner is very proud!
