Though Cranmer Guitars has not been around very long, and he’s a relatively young luthier, his designs and sensibilities have a sense of maturity and innovation. What drew me to his work was his use of a neck attachment reminiscient of Ken Parker, but executed with Aluminum rather than carbon fibre. I like this concept of neck decoupling from the body and having it fully adjustable, and I believe this area is ripe for innovation.
The guitar takes its design cues from a specific Gibson L5, but enhanced with a KP-like neck attachment and beautiful finish — a fusion of old and new. I love the vintage finish that has colors that remind me of a rustic barn!
