I love the idea of recycle and reuse, and when applied to guitars, it can make for some very interesting designs. Using salvaged old wood can sometimes be better than newer woods since that older wood is often times harder to get in modern times, and has already been aged and dried for many years. Often times, it also has an already aged, rustic look with incredible texture and grain without any external “relicing” needed.
Dismal Ax Guitars specializes in this, and his designs are also quite eclectic and modern. Here are the specs for his Hawk guitar, which was sold on Rebel Guitars.
