It's only a small subset of the many out there, but ones that I have found to be great sounding as well as very affordable: Guidorist. Amazing selection of amps and stunning sounds. http://www.topjimi.com/ Choptones.  http://shop.choptones.net Awesome high gain goodness. Huge variety of amps available.  Tonehammer. http://tonehammer.bigcartel.com Another provider of high-gain tones.  I'd have to say after listening to audio samples, my favourite high-gain amps would have to be: EVH 5150 and variants Mesa Boogie IIC+ and JP-2C PRS Archon These are all use 6L6 tubes in the power amp. I thought I would like EL34s better, but I think for really hard, smooth metal tones, the 6L6 is king.  Ironically, after listening to many high-gain profiles, the Kemper actually inspires me to go out and BUY a real tube amp!
