The Friedman BE-OD

All the rage now. The Friedman BE-OD. Pete Thorn really does an amazing job selling this pedal in the demo.  Main competition seems to be the MXR 5150 pedal (see last video below).

I recently auditioned this pedal and it's pretty good.  It was the Artisan Limited Edition as shown below. Because it can use 9-18V, this is a dead giveaway that it uses op-amps. Normal JFET-based designs based on schematics need to have specific bias voltages set, and these would change with supply voltage, dramatically changing the sound.

Initial indications on the Internet show that it uses multiple op-stages of gain and clipping: one stage of LED clipping followed by a stage with diode clipping, then another with clippers to ground.  With some buffering and filtering interspersed between these.
