One of the best comps out there! Digital side chain with analog VCA.

Some more info on the comp types from Dark Glass:
SYM has the range of attack and release that it has on the pedal (30-60ms attack, 200-800ms release), represented by a number from 0 to 100. The ratio knob also has the range of the compression knob on the Super Symmetry, representing 25%, 50%, 75% and 100% settings of the potentiometer. We decided not to put the attack and release numbers, as we think it doesn't really describe the pedal that well. For example, the attack is a mix of five different time constants and can be measured in a multitude of ways.
The all-in ratio on the FET mode is modelled after the all-in mode on the original unit. I don't remember which ratio it is, but it messes with the ratio AND bias of the FETs and makes the compression curve really strange. We added it as a fun feature because it's an interesting mode on the original unit. The other ratios are like you said, 4, 8, 12, 20.
SSL ratios are 1.5, 2, 4 and 10. We added the 1.5 ratio because we wanted all 4 LEDs to do something, and SSL has added it later on their compressor too.
