People going nuts after Josh at JHS does a shootout with the Bad Monkey vs high-end expensive OD pedals and it holds its own.
OK -- so I thought he might have cherry-picked settings, and I think he did for some. But I have a mint Bad Monkey and compared it to the TS and KLON, and Zendrive-like pedals. And it INDEED was able to closely replicate some of the tones. Not the full range, but close. If you really spend the time with the knobs and settings, you can get real close. There are subtle differences, but none you can hear in any song or mix.
