Marc De Waey Violin Guitar

Marc De Waey makes some guitars in the style of other instruments.  Here’s one that resembles violin construction. It has some interesting ideas. However, I’m not sure how this would sound, as a violin’s construction is based on exciting the strings with a bow rather than a plectrum.  Also, the saddle is very high, giving a large angle between the strings and body. This is fine for a violin due to the player’s position, but ergonomically, how would this work with a guitar where the playing position is completely different?  There are no sound examples or photos of the guitar with a person playing it, so it remains to be seen if taking this design path of mimicking a violin’s construction and shape would benefit the modern guitar player.
