Built for the 2016 Holy Grail Guitar Show Local Woods Challenge, this nylon string guitar has some very interesting woods and construction.

- Other:
- Internal structure: Black Cherry (Prunus Serotina)
- Tailpiece: Eastern Hop-Hornbeam (Ostrya Virginiana), Canada
- Linings: Butternut (Juglans Cinerea), Canada
What you don’t see are that the neck is connected to a neck block that then extends internally to the tailpiece, but isn’t connect to the top or back (like a semi-hollow body). This allows the top and back to freely vibrate. There is no need for bracing. Then there are the distinctive sound holes which are pushed to the sides, allowing a larger top area and beautiful aesthetics. The guitar is extremely light and demonstrates amazing volume and clarity. Another unique and innovative guitar from Sankey Guitars.
