Some more amazing luthiers I saw at the 2016 Holy Grail Guitar Show. Here is Part II.

Di Donato Guitars. Some interesting side additions as well as tailpieces.

Di Donato Guitars. The neck seems to have an interesting connection and be elevated. There’s an attachment of some kind for the controls, and the strings are attached at the bottom rather than at some tailpiece.

iHush Guitars. These guitars from Tokyo feature a custom hammered/formed top of metal with amazing intricate carvings.

iHush Guitars. Note the intricate carvings — all done by hand — as well as some process used to mimic flame maple stripes!

Ergon Guitars. I like the sound holes in the top — 3-dimentional.

Potvin Guitars

Verdinero Guitars. Interesting side sound hole.

Melo Guitars

Melo Guitars

Marleaux Basses. His DIVA bass on the far right is amazing. Aesthetically and sonically stunning.

Fred Pons. The guitar in the middle was part of the local woods challenge. The back and sides are made of linen and some composite.

Claas Guitars

Southwell Guitars

Southwell Guitars — soundhole

Southwell Guitars — back. Old English bog oak — several thousand years old.

Letain Guitars. Cool sound holes on the archtop. The tailpieces and how they are attached are reminiscient of Ken Parker.

Jeff Letain

Letain Guitars

Letain Guitars neck heel. Great carve out for neck access.

Sauvage Guitars. Their guitars go for huge money due to rarity in materials and construction.

M.O.V. Guitars

Nik Huber Guitars

Jens Ritter Instruments. All covered in crystals, painstakingly placed by hand.
