Jeff Traugott is world famous for his traditional acoustic guitars. The waiting list can stretch many years for his models (current base price is $26,500). He also makes a unique multi-scale electric guitar for Charlie Hunter, a jazz guitarist. The Hunter model has some cool features: extreme multi-scale, split pickups, and bridge pieces by Rock Toone. The woods are also quite exotic, with Brazilian Rosewood used on the top and back, with Swamp Ash sandwiched in between.
Not quite sure how a jazz guitarist can afford something like this, but I’m sure it works for both luthier and player.
