Here is a list of some great commercial providers of Kemper profiles. It's only a small subset of the many out there, but ones that I have found to be great sounding as well as very affordable:

I'd have to say after listening to audio samples, my favourite high-gain amps would have to be:

• EVH 5150 and variants
  
• Mesa Boogie IIC+ and JP-2C
  
• PRS Archon
  

These are all use 6L6 tubes in the power amp. I thought I would like EL34s better, but I think for really hard, smooth metal tones, the 6L6 is king. 

Ironically, after listening to many high-gain profiles, the Kemper actually inspires me to go out and BUY a real tube amp!
