It's incredible the amount of hype and BS on electric guitar finishes. Somehow, nitro allows the guitar to "breathe," sound "airier" and all other sorts of nonsense. The thin layer of nitro does almost nothing to the mechanical resonance of an electric guitar body, and even the body itself contributes very little to the ELECTRIC guitar sound. This IS NOT AN ACOUSTIC!
The comments made in the video below show how stupid people are and the gullibility of so many guitar owners. PRS switched to nitro because he knows his customers demand the old, traditional ways. It also wears worse, but that goes well with the whole relic trend bullshit too.
